mmm. pie fest.

So let's be honest, I am not a fan of pie. But for some reason this festival of pies we have annually is when I am willing to try pies. I love seeing how creative everyone gets, and I love socializing with people. It was a lot of fun this year, and it ended with a chocolate fiasco. I'm looking forward to next years already! : )

Not to brag or anything, but mine and Garrett's pie
got DEVOURED. It really was super delicious.
But really I can't take much credit, it was mostly Garrett who made it. : )
Here is the recipe:
3/4 c. peanut butter
1 (3 oz) package cream cheese
1 1/4 powdered sugar
1 (12) container of whipped topping (thawed)
1 (9 in) prepared chocolate cookie crumb crust
For a prettier pie:
2 packages of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Spray whip cream
Chocolate syrup
Caramel syrup

Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix together peanut butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar.
Then stir whipped topping into peanut butter mixture. Whisk until smooth.
(Hint: use hand mixer for creamier peanut butter mixture.)
Pour filling into pie crust and refrigerate for about 3 hours until pie is firm.

Topping Instructions:
Cover top with whipped cream.
Crush peanut butter cups and place on top.
Add chocolate syrup and caramel.

This was the "after effect" of pie fest.
As you can tell it was a hit.

The girls.

This was just suppose to be a sweet little eating contest, but as you can tell...
it got a little out of hand. : )
Shhhh...don't tell the parentals. ; )
